Homemade Pizza Topping
Simple and quick to make Pizza topping. I make it in batches and freeze it.
Servings 12 pizzas
Ingredients
- 4 cloves Garlic crushed
- Basil Leaves A small handful
- 1 tsp Salt
- 0.5 tsp Black Pepper Freshly ground
- 800 g Tinned tomatoes 2 tins
- 400 g tomato puree
- 2 tsp Sugar
- 2 tsp Balsamic Vinegar
Instructions
Make the Pizza Topping
- Blitz the garlic, basil salt and pepper in a food processor.
- Add tinned tomatoes, tomato puree, sugar and balsamic vinegar
- Blitz until smooth.
Freezing portions
- Fill a twelve muffin, muffin tin with the topping. There should be just enough for twelve portions. Freeze overnight.
- Remove from freezer and then sit muffin tin in a tray of hot water for 10 seconds. You should now be able to remove the frozen portions.
- At this point I vacuum seal each portion and return it to the freezer, which is about the amount needed for a 12 inch pizza.
