Lamb Shanks with Smoked Paprika
This is bloody lovely!
Servings 4 people
Ingredients
- 4 Lambs Sshank
- 6 Shallot
- 5 cloves Garlic mash it in mortar and pestle with some rock salt
- 2 tbsp honey
- 2 tsp Smoked Paprika
- 2 Bay Leaf
- 1 cup Red Wine
- 1 cup Stock chicken or lamb
- 0.5 cup Red Lentils
- 0.5 cup Brown Lentils
Instructions
- Optional (I never do) : Brown all sides of lamb shanks in frying pan in butter or oil: Gently Fry onions and garlic
- Put Bay Leaves, Garlic, Chillies and Shallots into bottom of slow cooker
- Add the Lentils (Red and Brown) and the Smoked Paprika and Honey
- Add the Lamb shanks.
- Add the Red Wine and Stock and seasoning.
- Cook on low for about 10 hours … if you are around then turn Lamb Shanks after about 5 hours
