Garam Masala
It is far better when you make it yourself
Servings 50 grams
Ingredients
- 6 Green Cardamom pods crushed discard hull
- 4 Cloves
- 5 g Black Peppercorns
- 2 Cinnamon sticks
- 10 g Coriander seeds
- 5 g Cumin seeds
- 4 g Fennel seeds
- 4 star anise
- 1 Bay leaf
- 2 g Mace
- 10 g Poppy seeds
- 2 g dried rose petals
Instructions
- Add all ingredients, except the poppy seeds and dried rose petals, to a dry frying pan. Toast over a medium heat until it is fragrant
- Remove from the heat and add the poppy seeds and dried rose petals. Allow to cool
- Grind to a fine powder in a spice grinder
