Ingredients

  • 1 lb raisins chopped
  • 1 lb currents chopped
  • 4 oz sultanas choppped
  • 8 oz mixed peel
  • 8 oz Granulated Sugar
  • 1 lb Suet
  • 8 oz Fresh White Breadcrumbs
  • 8 oz self raising flour
  • 2 oz Peeled Almonds
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 large Cooking Apple peeed and grated
  • 1 Lemon juice and rind
  • Grated Nutmeg
  • 1 Glass Brandy
  • Milk Stout
  • Milk
  • ¼ Glass Sherry
  • 1 Orange juice and rind
  • ½ tsp Mixed Spice
  • ½ tsp Ground Cinnamon

Instructions

  • Mix all the dry ingredients
  • Add Juices and alcohol. Stir
  • Leave Overnight
  • 3½ hours in a pressure cooker, 30 mins steam and 3 hours pressure
