Optional (I never do) : Brown all sides of lamb shanks in frying pan in butter or oil: Gently Fry onions and garlic
Put Bay Leaves, Garlic, Chillies and Shallots into bottom of slow cooker
Add the Lentils (Red and Brown) and the Smoked Paprika and Honey
Add the Lamb shanks.
Add the Red Wine and Stock and seasoning.
Cook on low for about 10 hours ... if you are around then turn Lamb Shanks after about 5 hours
