Lamb Shanks with Smoked Paprika

Ingredients

  • 4 Lambs Sshank
  • 6 Shallot
  • 5 cloves Garlic mash it in mortar and pestle with some rock salt
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 tsp Smoked Paprika
  • 2 Bay Leaf
  • 1 cup Red Wine
  • 1 cup Stock chicken or lamb
  • 0.5 cup Red Lentils
  • 0.5 cup Brown Lentils

Instructions

  • Optional (I never do) : Brown all sides of lamb shanks in frying pan in butter or oil: Gently Fry onions and garlic
  • Put Bay Leaves, Garlic, Chillies and Shallots into bottom of slow cooker
  • Add the Lentils (Red and Brown) and the Smoked Paprika and Honey
  • Add the Lamb shanks.
  • Add the Red Wine and Stock and seasoning.
  • Cook on low for about 10 hours ... if you are around then turn Lamb Shanks after about 5 hours
