Mrs N’s Malt Loaf

Ingredients
- 2 cups tea
- 2 cups all bran
- 1 1/2 cups sultanas
- 2 cups self raising flour
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180
- put the All Bran in a bowl and add the two cups of hot tea. Leave to soak for 5 minutes.
- Add the sultanas to the bowl and again leave for a couple of minutes.
- Sift in the flour and add the sugar and salt.
- Gently stir together using a wooden spoon until the flour has combined.
- Grease a 2lb loaf tin with butter. Put the mixture into the loaf tin.
- Put into oven for 30 – 40 minutes. You can test to see if it is cooked using a skewer.
- Remove from oven and remove loaf from tin and put onto a wire rack to cool.
